The Varsity Falcons Boys lacrosse team earned the title of Conference Champions after beating Mineola High School and finishing the regular season as the first undefeated boys lacrosse team in LVHS history. To get to this point, the Falcons secured a win over Seaford High School 13-8 at a home game honoring the team’s seniors. Under the leadership of Coach Keith Cromwell, the Falcons faced a tough and physical Seaford team and the Vikings took the game’s first goal. After that point, the dynamic group of Falcons led by Joe and Mike Madsen took command of the game. Joe Madsen had five goals and one assist to lead Locust Valley in Nassau IV. Mike Madsen added four goals, for a total of nine combined goals for the senior brothers.Senior Tyler Liantonio added a goal and four impressive assists. Junior Angelo Caiazzo contributed with two goals and two assists while the defense kept the momentum going for Locust Valley, led by Reed Tansill, Christian Casazza and Tom O'Brien. The Falcons headed into this game off of an incredible 10-9 victory over the defending state champions, Cold Spring Harbor. Two undefeated Class C lacrosse programs collided in an epic battle. Locust Valley’s strong defense was led by goalie Christian Casazza, Tom O’Brien and Reed Tansill who provided the needed transition for the offensive fire power to explode.
